This page was set up to allow you to follow the progress of my first Atlantic Crossing.  The passage departed from Mindelo, São Vicente (Cape Verde – off the coast of Africa) on January 22, 2019. The passage to arrived in Le Marin, Martinique. on February 7th, 2019.   This is a distance of approximately 2,150 Nautical Miles (or around 4,000 km) and took just over 2 weeks.  We travelled with John Kretschmer aboard Quetzel, a 47 foot Kaufman Cutter with 7 total crew
